Shirley de Wit

Shirley is a PhD student at LIACS. She has a background in Computer Science as well as Science Communication.

During her master thesis, Shirley did research into how teaching methods affect the self-efficacy of Dutch primary school teachers towards programming education. If you are interested in this research you can have a look at the final presentation and/or thesis.

For her master thesis, Shirley developed four programming lessons in Scratch (in Dutch). All four lessons include a teacher manual and have a discovery learning as well as a direct instruction version. The lessons will be freely available via this page soon.
